Brief
This brief asks you to re-design Ravensbourne facade to communicate what happens within it to the outer world.
Concept:
Ravensbourne has an ever changing working environment with its open plan working areas and fluid way of learning and creativity. I done this by creating a kinetic facade installation that reacts to the wind and sunlight to create a flow of movement, like a creative wave. Along with the use of material to reinforce the idea of a flow.
To create my pattern I went through all of the floors and marked out where the student working area is and where restricted areas were and with this I portrayed the density with the amount of discs on the outside of the building.

Screenshots of my 3D building design on CINEMA 4D, using a dichroic glass texture I was able to create a colour changing facade when the discs rotated and with perspective movement, reinforcing how my concept was be visually in real life.
